How does the timing work?
Timing Transponder
Each participant receives an individual timing chip, which must be securely attached to the ankle, just above the shoe, using the provided ankle strap. No timing transponder is integrated into the bib or attached elsewhere.

If a timing chip fails or does not record correctly for any reason, intermediate and finish times can be reconstructed using our backup camera systems, which monitor the entire event.
Timing System
TIME2WIN provides and installs the complete timing infrastructure required for the event. This includes all timing equipment, cabling, backup systems, networking components, and accessories necessary for reliable operation.
The local event organizer is responsible for providing a reliable power supply at all timing points and backup camera locations.
Depending on the event requirements, the timing system includes MYLAPS Active Timing equipment such as SmartPro Decoders, Active Timer Go Transponders, Timing loops, network switches, wireless communication devices, battery backup systems, timing computers, backup computers, and all required software licenses.

All equipment is tested, synchronized, and configured before the event. The complete timing infrastructure is installed, monitored, and operated by experienced TIME2WIN timing specialists throughout the event to ensure accurate, reliable, and uninterrupted timekeeping.

Technical Requirements
The event organizer must provide a dedicated 230 V AC power outlet at the TIME2WIN timing office. This power supply must be available before the installation begins and remain stable throughout the entire event.
The event organizer must also provide a dedicated internet connection for TIME2WIN with a minimum bandwidth of 50 Mbit/s download and 50 Mbit/s upload. The connection must be available exclusively for TIME2WIN's timing infrastructure and connected to the WAN port of the TIME2WIN network equipment.
If Wi-Fi is used, a dedicated wireless network with internet access must be provided exclusively for TIME2WIN. The local network should use the IP address range 192.168.1.x, or equivalent network details must be communicated to TIME2WIN in advance. The connection must remain stable and uninterrupted throughout the event to ensure reliable live result publication, synchronization, and remote monitoring.
