Backup System
What happens under exceptional circumstances, such as a power outage or other unforeseen events?
Power Supply
All timing-critical systems, including timing devices, timing computers, and essential network equipment, are backed up by battery systems that ensure uninterrupted operation for a minimum of three hours in the event of a power outage.
Timing Backup
Main timing stations, including the finish line, are equipped with a backup camera system. If a participant loses or forgets to wear their timing transponder, the finish time may be recovered from the video footage. The Race Referee will decide, in accordance with the competition rules, whether the participant can be included in the official results despite missing split times.
