Overview

Under Online Registration you'll find the sub-item Questions. Use it to collect extra information from participants during sign-up — allergies, T-shirt size, club membership, and so on.

Each question has its own settings that control how it appears on the registration form and whether an answer is mandatory. You can pick one of three answer types — Dropdown menu, Text field, or Checkbox list — and configure them as described below.

Common settings for every question

  • Answer type — Dropdown, Text field, or Checkbox list.
  • Question text — the label participants see, e.g. “Do you have any allergies?”
  • Answer options (one per line) — the choices offered for dropdown and checkbox questions (e.g. NO, YES). Not used for free-text fields.
  • Ask all or only specific competitions — restrict the question to selected events, or leave it on All competitions.
  • Price category — optionally limit the question to a specific ticket / price category.
  • Is active — toggle the question on or off without deleting it.
  • Required — enable to force participants to answer before they can complete the registration.
  • Advanced settings & dependencies — on the side panel you can add rules so a question only appears when another question was answered in a certain way.

1. Dropdown menu

A dropdown lets participants pick exactly one option from a predefined list.

2. Text field

A text field lets participants type a free-form answer (e.g. club name, allergies).

3. Checkbox list

A checkbox list lets participants select one or more options.

Dependencies (conditional questions)

In the advanced settings you can make a question depend on the answer to another one — e.g. only show “Which allergies?” when the participant selects YES on the allergies question. This keeps the form short and only shows follow-up questions when they're relevant.
